Human ID is a soulbound hybrid self-sovereign identity based on a tiered approach to establish proof of humaneness and each tier will unlock new humanity rights rather than a single biometric based approach for the platform to unlock all humanity rights.
Soulbound means identity attributes or credentials that cannot be changed, traded, or transferred.
Inspired by human capabilities of stereoscopic vision. We will use Mobile phones to capture video along with audio footage in a particular motion so that it allows us to compute 3D Skull Structure, Liveness Detection, Depth Perception and Facial Recognition. Reasons behind this choice is to avoid collecting extremely sensitive biometric data such as iris or palm or thumb print which runs the potential regulatory risk of the project getting banned. This approach is scalable, comfortable for humans and widely used to unlock phones or apps. It allows us to build persona baselines to support use cases such as deep fake detection, impersonations, bot vs human etc.
Most governments around the world collect sensitive biometric data on their citizens to issue Legal Identity. The infrastructure already exists and data collection happens in a very trusted environment. We will verify and link Legal Identity to Human ID. This increases the confidence score on who someone is exponentially and ensures no data collection on minors. It also enables us to support all KYC based sectors such as finance, Insurance, Investments, Health care, Real Estate, Transport etc.
Humans trust each other through each other. Human ID will use Social proof but it won’t be similar to Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram or Twitter where people become friends, followers or 1st degree networks without any verification and a very loose social basis as it was originally designed for network virality and content distribution. Humans can socially vouch for someone else through selfie videos along with audio when they are physically present together in the same frame and verify themselves through our algorithms. This allows us to also support use cases where misinformation is being spread and making the network sybil resistant. It is also likely to function as a growth engine.
We also see a very likely branching future where Bots (robots, self-driving cars, drones, automated shops & restaurants, vending machines, AI models) owned by humans or legal entities participate in our economy. We will do research and add Robo ID as an identity layer for bots in future.
