3.7 Personal AI assistants

The Foundation for a good personal AI assistant is user-specific data. The more it knows about you the better it can assist you. The boring, mundane, and repetitive tasks such as scheduling meetings, drafting emails, filling forms, ordering food or products online, answering spam calls, searching for a document, sending audio or video notes, reminders for important dates, follow-ups, suggesting gifts, managing inventory of regular consumables at home and more. All these become possible when identity, data, and SSO login capabilities are integrated. The missing piece is not AI models but the connectivity.

How They Work:

  1. Voice or Text Input: You interact with the assistant through voice commands or text prompts.

  2. Natural Language Processing (NLP): The assistant uses NLP to understand your intent and meaning behind the words.

  3. Information Retrieval: It searches its vast knowledge base and connected services to find relevant information or complete tasks.

  4. Response Generation: It formulates a response that fulfills your request, carries out any tasks and responds through voice or text.
